Special Needs

Choose your language, choose your level

Euroexam International provides the appropriate exam conditions for all test-takers with special needs.

YOU present your special needs with a medical certificate, WE provide the appropriate circumstances at the exam.

What does that mean?

Based on the medical report you send us, Euroexam International will inform you within 5 days about what specific conditions we can offer you on exam day. Depending on the report, a wide range of conditions are possible. The following is a selection of these from the full list possible.

Special conditions available for candidates with dyslexia and dysgraphia

At the written exam

All Question Papers, materials are printed on beige or yellow paper to reduce contrast between paper and text.

On the Answer Sheets you can simply write the letter (e.g. A) of your answer, instead of entering X-s in rows of boxes.

You will read all texts with larger spacing, aligned to the left without justifying the lines.

Larger, more easily legible fonts are used on all materials.

At the Speaking test

You will get an enlarged copy of the Picture Story for Task 2 for better visibility.

Other special conditions

Your spelling may be evaluated differently.

If the condition requires further allowances, you may complete the Reading, Writing and Listening tests on your own in a separate room, with a separate invigilator and with some additional time.

Options for candidates with other special needs

For candidates with hearing impairment, special headphones and amplifiers are provided.

Visually impaired candidates will be read out all texts from the Questions Papers and can use a laptop with or without Braille (with grammar and spellcheck turned off). *

* This specific condition can be provided for maximum 2 candidates only at each exam date. If more candidates require such circumstances, the first two will be granted them, others will be recommended a different exam date.

How do we assess candidates with special needs?

Before announcing the exam result, the Writing and Speaking tests will be double-checked, particularly if huge differences appear between them. We look at spelling mistakes once again in the written texts, and, if necessary, we also consult specialists, in order to adjust the final scores to their recommendation. Before the Speaking test, both examiners are informed about the specific case of a candidate, and they will take the condition into consideration in their evaluation.

  2. Make sure the certificate you upload upon registering is maximum 3 months old.
  3. Should the candidate's certificate refer to permanent conditions (e.g. hearing or visual impairment), the 3-month requirement does not apply.
