Prepare for the exam

Are you looking for an exam that is both reliable and friendly? Then you are at the right place. The Euroexams feature real-life tasks, which test communication skills rather than knowledge of grammar. So your exam preparation, which is sometimes challenging, becomes enjoyable. You acquire knowledge and skills that you can use before and after the exam as well.

Step 1: Get familiar with the exam!

You can find a good overview of the exam structure, levels and exam types here below:

  • for the general exams here
  • and for the Professional and Business exams here.

It is worth giving it a thorough read.

Euroexam features real-life tasks, and tests communication skills rather than knowledge of grammar. This means the work of exam preparation, which is sometimes challenging, becomes enjoyable, and it also enables you to acquire knowledge and skills that you can use before and after the exam as well.

Step 2: Try yourself out!

You can take a placement test in one of our centres, but you should do a practice exam at home as well.

You can find a practice paper with a key here. You can also use our practice test books, which contain another full practice paper in the same format as the real exam. You can download the audio for the practice test books here

Step 3: Practise!

After steps 1 and 2, it's time to decide how much more practice you will need before the exam. For example, if you didn’t do very well on the practice test, you might want to continue your learning on a language course or register for a preparation course.

Don’t forget about grammar and vocabulary either! As you may know there is no grammar or vocabulary-specific task in Euroexam; these two areas are assessed as part of the detailed assessment criteria used to assess the writing tasks. However, it is important not to neglect the role of grammar and vocabulary in real-life communication even when focusing on assessing communication skills. You can find a wide range of grammar and vocabulary practice tasks here.

Step 4: Register in time!

When you feel that you are ready to take the exam of your choice, it’s time to register.

Check the available test centres where you can take the exam and then complete the online Pre-Registration Form. Following receipt of this form, we will contact you with details about dates and other basic information. We will also send you the full Registration Form which you will need to return to us together with proof of payment of the exam fee.
